Each year, students 18 years of age and under from across Canada are invited to take part in the Canada Day Poster Challenge by designing a poster illustrating their pride in Canada and in being Canadian. The 13 provincial and territorial finalists win a trip to Ottawa to Celebrate Canada Day on Parliament Hill and the overall winning entry becomes the official national Celebrate Canada! Poster.

2007 Canada Day Poster Challenge - BC Finalists

OTTAWA, May 22, 2007
The Honourable Beverley J. Oda, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Status of Women, today announced the name of the national winner of the 2007 Canada Day Poster Challenge. The honour goes to Sharon Huang, aged 15, a student at Steveston Secondary School in Richmond, British Columbia.

Bridget Penny, aged 16, of Springfield, who attends St. Mary's Academy in Winnipeg, Manitoba, placed second, and Jenna Mortemore, aged 17, a student at W.P. Wagner Senior High School in Edmonton, Alberta, took third place.
